He began playing volleyball in 2008 and has developed a strong coaching career since 2016, spanning youth clubs, high school, and college levels. He currently serves as the Assistant Coach for both the men's and women's volleyball teams at Hunter College.

Peter is dedicated to community building and strengthening connections on and off the court. He began playing volleyball in 2020 and discovered 9-man in 2022, quickly falling in love with the sport and its community. In his free time, he enjoys watching shows and movies.

Jonathan is a recreational volleyball player who enjoys the game for fun, fitness, and connection. Since 2021, he's organized weekly open play sessions to create a consistent space for players to show up and enjoy the sport. His focus is on keeping things inclusive, laid-back, and just competitive enough to keep it exciting for everyone.

Q brings to NVNL nearly a decade of professional playing experience across elite leagues worldwide and all volleyball styles, including 9-man. A former collegiate captain and award-winning player, he has coached at multiple levels with a focus on skill development, team cohesion, and mental health. He currently serves as the Men's Volleyball Head Coach at Hunter College and looks forward to reconnecting with the 9-man volleyball community.

Coach Ream has a coaching career spanning over the course of 14 years, starting off as a film scout and now currently serving as a head coach. He is well traveled in the club, public school, and private school scenes and has coached all age groups ranging from middle school to adults. He is a mental wellness driven coach that promotes the importance of mental health in athletes and aims to improve athlete livelihood both on and off the court. Currently he serves as a coach at UNIS and NYC Juniors. He, alongside Mikey, are currently coaching NVNL Vermillion Bird.

Jushyin is our reluctant yet reliable team captain for NVNL Black Tortoise. When he's not leading the squad with quiet determination, he's deep into games or adding to his ever-growing Gunpla collection.

As NVNL Vermillion Bird's libero and captain, Garyana brings focus and sharp skills to every match. Off the court she's a true foodie. And loves unwinding to rom-com anime. She currently plays NCAA Women's Volleyball for Lehman College and coaches at NYC Juniors.

A natural leader on the court, she's all about grit and precision. Off the court, she's busy hunting down the best eats in the city and exploring new neighborhoods, always curious, always moving.
